Thalassil
Politics is the estate. Thalassil holds little that can be burned and a great deal that can be withdrawn at the wrong moment. Thalassil also holds farmland.
Thalassil is Kinsworn, and means it. Its Wright wears azarketi shape as a member of that people: the oldest and largest member of the family, with its gods, inheritance law and opinion of the neighbours. Its position can be negotiated, but its loyalties can be shamed. The tradition is occult, which is to say it governs without holding the post. It has done better out of the treaty than any of the other three.

Ebbfurrow — the graziers the Ward's census keeps missing
Tidal silt at the Solmarch mouth in the Sixtongue Roads, reed grazing, stilt hall, no wharf
Tidal silt runs two miles out from the Solmarch mouth into the Sixtongue Roads, cut by channels that shift with every spring flood, and the hall stands on piles above the highest of them. Reed grazing carries beef and a poor barley on the driest ground; the rest is eels, weirs and wildfowl, and no bread grows here at all. The absence of a wharf means cargo is landed by boat at half tide. Aurelgate's gate sits above the inlet wharves at the head of the water channel, Vaeloren's headland closes the eastern side of the roads, and the harbour court keeps its record in a language the Ebbfurrow factors do not use in pleadings.
Connections
Reed, eels and grazing feed ten names and pay for nothing else, so flour and seed corn are bought at the Aurelgate gate from a house Thalassil says took eleven acres of reed when it cut its water channel.
Allies takes this house’s side 3
Talionwe 04 Talionwe eats off Thalassil's marshland: beef, eels and a poor barley landed below the headland. It pays by writing Thalassil's court cases in the language the harbour court keeps its records in.
Brakkenstone 08 An heir of one married into the other in 796, and each house entered the children on its own family roll. No court will say which roll counts, so eight years of grazing rent is sitting untouched while they wait.
Aldemarch 53 Aldemarch's census has left Thalassil's marsh herders off the rolls for six counts running, keeping four hundred people out of the tax assessment. Thalassil repays it by speaking for Aldemarch at the harbour court, where Aldemarch has no voice of its own.

Reed, eels and grazing feed ten names and pay for nothing else, so flour and seed corn are bought at the Aurelgate gate from a house Thalassil says took eleven acres of reed when it cut its water channel. The point is made every time the toll is paid. Beef and eels go east to Vaeloren, settled in pleadings drafted in the court's fifth language. Aldemarch's census has left the graziers off the roll for six audits, something over four hundred people, and the price of that omission is Ebbfurrow's voice at the harbour court, where a Corvantine marchward has none. An heir married into Brakkenstone's Cindershelf branch in 796 and both rolls entered the children, so eight years of grazing rent sits in escrow.

An Thalassil heir married into a Brakkenstone branch in 796, and both houses being Kinsworn, the azarketi line and the dwarf clan each entered the children on their own roll. Neither the Forge nor the harbour court in the Sixtongue Roads will say which roll governs, and the reed-grazing rents have gone into escrow for eight years.

Talionwe victuals off Thalassil's reed grazing, taking beef, eels and a poor barley landed at the factors' anchorage below the headland. Talionwe pays by drafting Thalassil's harbour-court pleadings in the written fifth language the court keeps for its record.

The Sixtongue harbour court has heard the water channel case in four languages and adjourned it in all of them. Wraymoor lodges a certified copy of the original grant at each sitting and Thalassil brings the men who can recite the reed beds as they stood, and the court's written record is kept in a fifth language neither house pleads in.
Thalassil buys its flour and its seed corn at Wraymoor's gate, a stilt hall on tidal silt growing reed and eels and no bread at all. Thalassil holds that the mill water channel took eleven acres of reed grazing when it was cut, and says so at the gate every time the toll is paid.

Fresh water goes out to the pilot hulks in casks from the Solmarch mouth, some sixty a month through the sailing season, because the Threename Shoal has none of its own. Quorravel pays in cargo landed at Thalassil's reed landings, which is the nearest thing Thalassil has to a wharf.
Two plates hold the southern river mouths between them and they have married into each other every generation since the signing. The present settlement was negotiated while Quorravel's plate was already opening at the edge, so Thalassil took the dowry in pilot shares held ashore rather than in a promise from Quorravel, and the two houses vote against each other at the harbour court on anything touching the treaty.

The Ward's census return has left Thalassil's reed graziers off the roll for six audits, which keeps something over four hundred people out of the assessment. Thalassil pays for the omission with its voice at the Sixtongue harbour court, where a Corvantine marchward has none.
Clerks in the Sixtongue Roads say Ebbfurrow can put more boats on the water than the roll it is left off would account for. Said in the Sixtongue Roads
