Farrowgate
Extinct. What follows is the register's entry, unamended since the iron opened.
Credit is the business, which makes Farrowgate a house other houses must account for — a debtor three centuries into an unserviceable loan takes instruction. Its granaries give Farrowgate a second source of revenue.
Farrowgate was Kinsworn and stood with its humans when their interests diverged from the draconic order. Its institutions were arcane — literate, procedural and obsessive about precedent. The tradition wrote most of the case law the house was finally read under. A divine establishment worked alongside the arcane institutions. Their jurisdictions overlapped at Oxenhead's gate, river court and marriage table, and the dispute outlasted the house.

the Ferravant Hundred — the receivership on both banks of the Ferravant
Wheat loam both sides of the Ferravant, walled market and mint, milestoned road east to Bellmark
Wheat loam lies on both banks of the Ferravant where the river crosses the middle of the Aurelmarch grain floor, the best land in this quarter of the survey and the most closely rated. The Ferravant Hundred is a walled market with a mint behind it, tenant villages either side of the water, and a milestoned road east to Bellmark, where the court roll and the mint keys are kept. Lighters work up as far as the market wharf and take grain down towards the Ostrovek Sound. Skarveth's ford lies upstream, Halvresk's posts on the rim to the north-west, Valdrenne's wharves four days west.
Connections
Farrowgate struck silver at Oxenhead for the first ninety years after the signing, on bullion delivered out of Brakkenstone's Cliffhold, and victualled the Halvrask Watch under a contract sealed in 141 AF.
Allies takes this house’s side 2
Halvresk 47 Six hundred quarters of wheat go to Halvresk every year under a supply contract sealed in 141 by a house that has not existed for six centuries. The administrators keep delivering, Halvresk keeps patrolling the road, and both sides file the same account every year to keep it on the record.
Vaddrek 81 Plough irons, mill gear and blades go from Vaddrek's ironworks to Farrowgate's tenants, about nine hundred crowns a year, billed to an account eleven years behind on payment. Vaddrek keeps delivering because those tenants are the only customers who will take dwarf ironwork without having it tested first.
Neutral trades, and no more than that 1
Enemies has something open against it 3
Brakkenstone 08 Brakkenstone supplied Farrowgate's mint with silver for ninety years, and the coin dies were still in the vault when Farrowgate was destroyed. Brakkenstone claims them against a last delivery it was never paid for, in a case adjourned since 214.
Ferrovane 50 Ferrovane has administered Farrowgate's affairs since 118 and holds its court roll, its market charter and its mint keys. Its position is that the arrangement lasts until the record is corrected, and the record has not been touched since Farrowgate was destroyed.
Aelvarion 54 Aelvarion holds thirty-one debts issued by Farrowgate's mint in 46 AF and presents them at the Forge every ninth year to keep the claim alive. What it actually wants is Farrowgate's market rights, worked by three houses since the destruction without any of them producing a grant.

Farrowgate struck silver at Oxenhead for the first ninety years after the signing, on bullion delivered out of Brakkenstone's Cliffhold, and victualled the Halvrask Watch under a contract sealed in 141 AF. Its Wright stood with the tenants it was raised among and sat in the market hall to hear rate appeals like any Corvantine magistrate. The plate cracked before the second century was out and the dies were left in the mint vault, where Brakkenstone claims them against the last unpaid delivery in an action adjourned since 214 AF. Ferrovane's Bellmark receivership has administered the ground since 118 AF and holds that the administration runs until the plate is amended. Aelvarion enters thirty-one uncalled mint bonds at the Forge every ninth year, and what it is after is the market franchise.

Six hundred quarters of Farrowgate wheat go to Halvresk's every year under a victualling contract executed in 141 AF and still running on that seal, the house that sealed it having not existed for six centuries. The receivership delivers, Halvresk patrols the Hundred's road, and both sides lodge the same account at Ferrovane annually to keep the arrangement on the record.
-
Brakkenstone supplied Farrowgate's mint with silver for the first ninety years after the signing, and when the Farrowgate plate cracked the dies stayed in the mint vault. Brakkenstone claims them against the unpaid last delivery in the only Corvantine action it has ever brought, adjourned since 214 AF.
-
Ferrovane has administered Farrowgate under receivership since 118 AF and holds its court roll, its market charter and the mint keys. Ferrovane's position is that the receivership runs until the plate is amended, and the plate has not been amended since the sky came down on it.

Valdrenne carries forty thousand crowns of first-century Farrowgate mint paper on its book at full face value, the largest single asset the counting-house shows. Valdrenne has never written it down, and its own creditors read the entry every year and say nothing about it either.
-
Plough irons, mill gear and coulters go from the Ironfurrow iron furnace to the Hundred's tenants, about nine hundred crowns a year, billed to a receivership account eleven years in arrears. Vaddrek keeps delivering because the tenants are the only Corvantine customers who will take dwarf ironwork without a Ferrovane test.
-
Aelvarion holds thirty-one Farrowgate mint bonds, issued in 46 AF and outstanding since, and enters them at the Forge every ninth year to keep the claim alive. What Aelvarion is after is the market franchise at Farrowgate, worked by three Corvantine houses since the plate cracked without any of them producing a grant.
Factors at Bellmark say the Oxenhead dies have been counted twice since the plate cracked, and that the two counts were taken by different houses. Said in the Aurelmarch

Arms
A field gate broken off its hinges with a spilled strongbox in the mud beneath it, a sow and a furrow beyond, a five-petalled rose carved on the gatepost.
Azure, party per pale by a line Or, a key and a rose Or; in base a garb Or; a chief Or; a bordure of cracked iron. (Plate 59; no living name.)
The field colour is the house's tradition and the bound edge is the state of its plate, and neither is the house's to choose.
